BINGYU Opens Inaugural Store in Sri Lanka, Expanding Global Footprint
BINGYU, has launched its first outlet in Sri Lanka, marking a pivotal milestone in its international expansion strategy.
As the birthplace of Ceylon tea, Sri Lanka boasts a strong local tea-drinking culture. Young consumers show rising demand for fruit milk tea and icy beverages, yet standardized, affordable Chinese chain tea brands are scarce, leaving massive untapped market potential. Prior to launch, the brand spent a full year on in-depth local research to comply with Sri Lanka’s food regulations, overcoming hurdles including cross-border ingredient testing, customs clearance and food safety inspections to lay solid groundwork for stable operation.

Steady Growth Outpaces Hasty Expansion for Overseas Ventures
This flagship store adopts BINGYU’s streamlined, field-tested franchise model. Headquarters delivers end-to-end support: site evaluation, standardized staff training, opening promotions and daily store management. Its low-cost, replicable business model drew local partners to launch the debut location.
Situated in a busy mixed-use commercial zone in Colombo, the shop caters to local youth, students, overseas Chinese residents and tourists, building a trendy social space for tea consumption. Well-received by locals and Chinese expats after opening, the store maintains steady customer flow. It will serve as a benchmark to roll out city-wide franchising, open more locations and develop Sri Lanka-exclusive customized drinks.

Backed by a full industrial supply chain, BINGYU exports standardized Chinese new-style tea and brings Oriental tea flavors to the homeland of Ceylon black tea. Moving forward, it will deepen its presence in Sri Lanka, upgrade localized products and operations, and steadily branch out across South Asia via its integrated supply chain, delivering cost-effective Chinese tea to consumers worldwide.
